I am in India right now, but most of my attention has been back home in Seattle.

The coronavirus situation has been changing quickly, and today the World Health Organization officially characterized COVID-19 as a pandemic.

Watching everything unfold from the other side of the world has been strange.

I called my staff and told everyone to work from home.

At the same time, our company is in the middle of moving into new offices. The move is happening this weekend, right around the time I am flying back.

There is something a little surreal about preparing a brand new office while also telling everyone not to come into it.

I do not know how long this is going to last. Hopefully it is a short disruption and things settle down soon.

For now, getting everyone home and keeping people safe seems like the right decision.
